JFCS-Senior-CenterJFCS of Southwest Florida is a non-sectarian human service agency serving the communities of Collier and southern Lee Counties. JFCS offer a wide array of human services for all ages.

In January 2014, JFCS opened the Naples Senior Center, the first senior center in Collier County. The Naples Senior Center is a vibrant place for seniors to socialize, receive services and participate in a variety of stimulating programs. The Naples Senior Center is open to all denominations of adults 60 years of age and older to help them maintain a healthy, satisfying quality of life by providing services and activities in a nurturing environment. Annual Membership is $15 per person. There are no additional fees. Scholarships are available for those who cannot afford to pay.

In addition to the Naples Senior Center, JFCS programs and services to the community include:

  • Mental Health Services, which provide assessment and short-term counseling for individuals, couples and families struggling with anxiety and depression, life transitions, interpersonal relationship problems, and grief. Fees are charged on a sliding scale based on income and no one is ever turned away based on inability to pay.
  • Senior Outreach and Support Services, which provide a wide range of services addressing the isolation of the frail elderly. Among these services are Case Management, Dementia Support and Information and Referral.
  • The Dementia Respite Support Program, which offers support groups for individuals with early to mid-stage dementia. Each group meets weekly for four hours. The groups provide socialization and wellness with a holistic approach to everyday living and challenges.
  • The JFCS Food Pantry, a choice food pantry open by appointment to all members of the community.
  • Homeless Veteran Support Services for homeless veterans.
  • Volunteer Services Department, offering many opportunities for individuals to be involved at the Naples Senior Center, the Dementia Respite Support  Program, the food pantry and other programs that JFCS offers.
